Hudl Film
Most of Brame’s film is catches, and it should be, as he’s an excellent receiving TE. But he can block too:
and he’s got open-field power:
Plus he’s a good route runner. He makes cash with this corner route that must be half of his highlight reel:
Maybe Kinda Like
So this was an interesting one. Brame will be the second highest-rated TE Tennessee has ever signed—remember Jason Witten was recruited as a DE out of high school. The other higher-rated TE prospect was 2002’s Aaron Kirkland out of Charlotte, who was on the Vols’ roster in 2002 and 2003, but his UT career ends there. Kirkland passed away in late 2023, and his obituary doesn’t mention him playing for any other schools. Kind of a mystery what happened to him.
So if there aren’t many matches in recruiting score, how about matches in size? Luke Stocker is one comp, although Brame is probably a little heavier than the former NFL stalwart. Brendan Downs, who played for UT from 2011 to 2014, and recent Vol alum Jacob Warren are also decent size comparisons, but Brame is a little heavier than both were as recruits, and significantly more highly rated. But if Brame is a bigger Luke Stocker with a higher upside, and I am in no way saying that he is, that would be pretty good, no?
